Dirty Rice: A Quick and Easy Vegan and Alkaline Meal

I love this meal because it’s simple, delicious, plant-based, and alkalizing. ✨

To prepare: sautéed onions, garlic, and a little fresh ginger until the onions are translucent. Add in whatever veggies you have and sauté until only slightly crunchy. Add in gluten-free tamari, liquid aminos, and garlic powder (if you’re a garlic fiend like I am 😅). In a separate pot, boil your rice. Mix all together. ✨

I love to eat this with nori (the sheet-like seaweed pictures to the left). Nori is super alkalizing and a superfood for our kidneys - aka benefits reproductive system, dark circles under eyes, thinning hair, and will power (to name a few 😜). Sometimes I make sushi with it but most of the time I go the lazy route and roll up the rice in the nori like a burrito. ✨

Maybe it sounds too simple or boring to some people, but simple meals like this that are easy to cook and only use a few ingredients make me feel the best. When I eat out too much or eat something with a ton of different ingredients, my digestion feels overburdened and I’m more likely to feel tired and bloated.
